The Ethiopian Information and Communica- tions technology (ICT) sector has been growing rapidly in recent years, propelled into its lift-off phase by the government’s continuous focus on developing the digital economy. Currently, the industry is primarily focused on expanding its ICT infrastructure. However, software development and IT services follow right behind, particularly web and mobile app development, software testing, and IT consulting.

We present with the Outsourcing Destination Guide Ethiopia the conditions, capabilities and actors of the Ethiopian ICT sector. Furthermore, we showcase unique solutions by Ethiopian and international industry experts in the form of case studies, project reports and have talked to local industry leaders about their operations and perspective.

As a result, we help decision-makers better understand the local conditions and opportunities for both: working with IT- and business process service providers in Ethiopia or investing in their own delivery center operations.
